September is Fire Protection Month – a time to recognise the systems, equipment, and people working behind the scenes to help protect our buildings every day.
For most of us, fire protection is something we rarely think about. Sprinklers sit quietly overhead, emergency lights remain unnoticed, and fire doors, hydrants, and detection systems are simply part of the building.
But in an emergency, every one of these elements has an important role to play.
Fire Protection Month is a reminder that effective fire safety is about more than having the right equipment installed. It relies on regular servicing, maintenance, testing, and the people responsible for ensuring systems are ready when needed.
It’s also an opportunity to recognise the building managers, property managers, technicians, emergency personnel, and others who play a role in keeping people and property protected.
At FESSA, we’re proud to support South Australian businesses, property managers, and strata communities throughout the year, helping maintain the systems that are relied upon when it matters most.
